Intestines with Gut Bacteria on Blackboa

Comprehensive Stool Analysis

There are about 100 trillion microbes that live in your digestive system1. Some are "good" and some are "bad" — our bodies work really hard to keep a good balance! Unfortunately, many things can disrupt this balance and cause GI issues or lead to other health conditions that can be impacted by the gut. For instance, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is known to significantly worsen symptoms of Autism by harboring an excess of bad bacteria in the small intestines.

Symptoms of SIBO are bloating, distention, pain after eating carbs, sugar, legumes, grains, fructose fruits, fructan veggies or fiber; chronic abdominal pain, and gastroparesis. Several causes have been proposed: Abnormal digestion, overuse of antacids, antibiotics, exposures to some toxins, metal burden (Pb); celiac disease, hypothyroidism, immunodeficiency, neurological injury, and brain injury2

It is important to restore the body's proper intestinal flora so the body can heal and detoxify itself. Comprehensive Stool Testing is a non-invasive test that can help identify microorganisms such as yeast, parasites, and bacteria (good and bad) that are in our body and contribute to the symptoms experienced by your child. Treatment interventions have been shown to improve developmental cognition, reduce inflammatory state, reduce behavior symptoms, and improve overall health (3).
