My son is 7.5 years old, he is diagnosed with severe autism. He was constipated since birth. When he was 3.5 we put him on Medical medium diet. It resolved his constipation but no other significant changes. He is clapping with his hands non stop. We gave him zeolite when he was almost 5. On zeolite he stopped clapping completely but clapping returned after 10 days.  He started pushing his tummy on the floor when he is pooping. (Not potty trained) He is pressing on his tummy under his belly button. His pediatritian gave us miralax for that because xray showed constipation feces. We were giving miralex for 15 days but it didn’t help. Then we put him on medical medium plant based diet. He was eating just fruit, vegetables, lots of steamed potatoes and papaya every day  for 7-8 months but it didn’t resolve the problem. Two weeks ago we started with magnesium oxide, which helped, he is not moody anymore, but he still pushing under his tummy when pooping. Before magnesium we also tried bio ray tummy and we tried Marry Ruths liquid probiotics. He can handle just 2 drops, 3 drops gives him diarea. He is taking multi minerals. I am thinking about adding digestive enzime and GI detox. What do you think? Do you have any other advice what we could try? Would GI be helpfull in this case?
